Nanshe Village and Tangwei Village are located separately in Chashan Town and Shipai Town in Dongguan, which were built about 800 years ago. The building is one of the finest examples of the Ming and Qing Dynasties’ architecture. These buildings also need fire protection but the use of cables is undesirable. Thus, the wireless solution is provided to realize fire protection whilst retaining the historic legacy of the buildings.

At the moment, there are 20 and 21 detection points in the two villages accordingly to mainly protect some historic buildings.

The LoRa system has realized a combination with “Internet plus”. The alarm information, such as fire and fault signal, could be sent in real-time to the App on the administrator’s mobile phone, to the community fire station and the City Safety Centre, which would be able to control the fire at an initial stage, shorten the response time for fire extinguishing and reduce the risk or loss from fire at its most.
